About the Author<\/i><\/h1>\n

I’ve always enjoyed Science Fiction and Fantasy, and spent my high-school years in the school’s library lost in the worlds of Andre Norton, Robert Heinlein, and Isaac Asimov. Reading in turn led to writing, with the first draft of The Portal Adventures<\/em> originally completed to read to our at bedtime. Now the two kids have left home I live in Perth with my wife, one dog, and a fluctuating number of gold fish.<\/p>\n

I am presently the Principal of Hague Publishing<\/a>, established in 2011 as an independent publisher of Science Fiction and Fantasy. Registered in Western Australia, it publishes original work by Australian and New Zealand authors.<\/p>\n

Previously Principal for the Davies Literary Agency, I was also editor and publisher of The Western Australian Year Book<\/i>\u00a0for a number of years, in addition to being the editor and a writer for\u00a0Afterlife – the on-line magazine for Atmosphere users<\/i>.<\/p>\n

My first published short story (A Messenger to the Dragon<\/i>) appeared in\u00a0Aurealis – Australian Fantasy and Science Fiction<\/i> in 1992. My most recent was the award winning 1827: Napoleon in Australia<\/i>, which appeared in Sea Lion Press’ anthology\u00a0Alternate Australias<\/i> in 2020.<\/p>\n

My first novel, Nightfall<\/i> (book one in the Clemhorn Trilogy) is an adult, alternate history set against the backdrop of the Cross-Temporal Empire and its fifty-four separate lines and was released by\u00a0Zmok Books<\/a> in 2019. The series is distributed by Simon and Schuster in the US.<\/p>\n

Trouble on Teral,<\/i>\u00a0Crisis at Calista Station, <\/i>and Vortex on Vertu Prime<\/em>, the three books in my middle-grade, Science Fiction adventure series, The Portal Adventures<\/i>, were released by Canada’s\u00a0Peasantry Press<\/a>\u00a0in 2020. The open ended series is a combination of Caroline Lawrence’s Roman Mysteries and Andre Norton’s juvenile speculative fiction.<\/p>\n

A passionate reader of Alternate History Andrew is working on completing a number of additional series of trilogies based on the Cross-Temporal Empire.<\/p>\n
