The Tin Ducks are the Western Australian SF achievement awards and voted on by members at the annual Swancon convention.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span data-offset-key=\"74tec-2-0\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-108 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/andrewjharvey.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/AlternateAustralias-cover-187x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"187\" height=\"300\" \/>I need to specifically thank <\/span><span class=\"diy96o5h\" spellcheck=\"false\" data-offset-key=\"74tec-3-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"74tec-3-0\">Coan <\/span><\/span><span data-offset-key=\"74tec-4-0\">for suggesting Napoleon for the subject, <\/span><span class=\"diy96o5h\" spellcheck=\"false\" data-offset-key=\"74tec-5-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"74tec-5-0\">Jared Kavanagh <\/span><\/span><span data-offset-key=\"74tec-6-0\">who edited the anthology, <\/span><span class=\"diy96o5h\" spellcheck=\"false\" data-offset-key=\"74tec-7-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"74tec-7-0\">Sea Lion Press<\/span><\/span><span data-offset-key=\"74tec-8-0\"> who took the risk on the book, and everyone who voted. Thank You! And yes I am still doing the little happy dance in my head! <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-offset-key=\"74tec-8-0\">Further to this,\u00a0my sincere <\/span><span role=\"none\"><span data-offset-key=\"74tec-9-0\">congratulations<\/span><\/span><span data-offset-key=\"74tec-10-0\"> to <\/span><span class=\"diy96o5h\" spellcheck=\"false\" data-offset-key=\"74tec-11-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"74tec-11-0\">Amanda Bridgeman<\/span><\/span><span data-offset-key=\"74tec-12-0\"> for beating me out for the Best Novel with her The Sensation (Salvation #2) (Best WA Long Written Work!) I&#8217;m still ecstatic that &#8216;Nightfall&#8217; (Clemhorn #1) <\/span><span class=\"diy96o5h\" spellcheck=\"false\" data-offset-key=\"74tec-13-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"74tec-13-0\">Zmok Books<\/span><\/span><span data-offset-key=\"74tec-14-0\"> was on the shortlist!
